After those things that sing in nature, I listed some beings that sing before God, and for God, to bless Him and all who hear them. I want to talk a little bit about two scriptures where beings sing for God, and what these scriptures mean to you and I

When I was teaching in the Music School, I often taught a workshop on just what Gospel Music really is. I would like to address that very subject this month, because I believe in order to sing the music right, you must have the right music, and you must know what Gospel music really is

Many think that getting your part is all there is to singing in a quartet. But, when you sing in a group for any length of time, you begin realize that if a quartet does not BLEND vocally, it will never really sound good, or minister to the crowd

Remembrances of Dottie Rambo

I cannot let this opportunity go by to write some of my remembrances of one of the all time greats of Gospel Music that went home to be with the Lord this month, Dottie Rambo. I want to dedicate the column this month to some of the memories that I have of this great lady of Gospel Music

It seems like a time of new and beautiful beginnings. With this in mind I believe that it is a good time for each of us who minister in music to others to take a fresh look at our mission and abilities to carry out that mission

Most all beginning singers are lax in their pronunciation of words when singing. Sometimes it is caused by just plain laziness, and other times it is the outgrowth of colloquialism . That means that we sometimes pronounce words like they are pronounced where we live

I know what it is to try to sing through allergies. These problems and the problem of the huge flu outbreak across the country have many singers reaching for the flu medicines and allergy pills to keep from sounding like frogs

Poor Pronunciation

The biggest problems that I see in today’s contemporary music interpretations are the problems of POOR PRONUNCIATION and POOR ENUNCIATION of lyrics. This causes me, many times, to not be blessed
