Some Good Things About Southern Gospel Radio

Southern Gospel Radio is in my opinion playing the very best music in the world. It is the very best for several reasons. First is the message. Of all the important things in life to say or sing about, the Gospel is certainly the most important one I can think of. For the most part, Southern Gospel Radio is playing very solid songs with the Gospel message that is inspiring and uplifting to their audience

image To modify your vowels and consonants it takes some work but the results are well worth the effort. This one act will change your singing for the better in more ways than one. It will give your singing that professional sound like nothing else can.

Sound of Southern Gospel - Feb 2003

In the beginning of southern gospel music there was at the most two microphones and a piano. So what happened? The fans came along and filled up bigger places and technology advanced for better sound. However, when running sound, remember it all starts with your purchasing of the equipment.

Devotional - The God of Today

We somehow seem to forget sometimes that the very same God that was there for Moses, Daniel, David and so many others, is the very same God we serve today. And even more important, He hasn't changed. If you can read in the Bible where He did something for someone else, you can trust Him to do the same for you

Improperly set EQ settings, wrong microphone selection and poor gain structure are some of the real causes of people complaining and walking out. They will tell you it was too loud which may have not been the case at all, but was an effect of one of the above mentioned problems

Editorial - Look What Lies Ahead

As I sat here pondering what I could possibly write that would be new for the New Year, I couldn?t help but think about all the conversations on the various message boards and E-mail lists concerning the future of Southern Gospel Music. It seems that there are two camps of discussion

The Vocal Coach

In the last two articles we have talked about most of the vowels but there are four more we want to add to those. The first one is the "Short O" sound.

Devotional - Tis The Season?

It doesn't matter whether Jesus was actually born on December 25th or not. It's important that we take the time to celebrate that He was born. It's important that we take the time to tell the Christmas Story again to all the children

The Vocal Coach

I can't believe that Christmas time is here again. It is time for all the Christmas Music and a great time to start using those vowel modifications that we have been talking about in last months article. We want to continue with more of the vowels this month, too. I hope you have been practicing the ones that we covered last month

Editorial - Make Somebody?s Day

It?s not the gifts that we give at this time of the year that really make a difference. It?s that little effort we make to say something to someone, or that smile we give. As all the kids were hugging Grandpa goodbye, they were really saying hello to a world of help to an old man
