I thought about what I’d like to apply to my everyday life from the story of the little boy. It is just this, that I daily might give all I have to Jesus so that He might share it with others.
Mike and I celebrate nine years of marriage on April 6th. It's so hard to believe that nine years have gone by. God has been so good and so faithful to us. We are having so much fun as we travel.
Through constant prayer God has shown us our direction. We stepped out on Faith relying solely on him. From the first date as Driven until the end of March we have seen 43 known decisions for Christ
With all that is happening I run the risk of something that could happen easily if I am not very careful...I risk moving so fast that my physical motion takes over the spiritual motion that God wants to make happen
Also, we'd appreciate your prayers for my in-laws. My mother-in-law is currently in the hospital with both a yeast and staff infection. On Friday, March 23, they weren't sure she'd make it through the night. To date, she is "marginally better"
We just finished an 18 day trip to North Carolina,Alabama and South Carolina and Georgia. We had the opportunity to see several friends that we had not seen in a while. A couple of our dear friends
surprised us in North Carolina
A few months back we started singing the song “Such A Time As This” written by Jeff Steele and Cindi Ballard. What an awesome message in this song. It never fails when we sing this song that we see many tears in the audience
We all leave a trail, whether we intend to or not. My prayer is that the Lord will help me to make Godly choices and help me to leave a Christian heritage for those who follow me, and should He tarry and two hundred years from now someone is researching me, let them find evidence that I was a believer
A quick word about our next planned recording: we are making plans for a “Back to the Roots” album in which we will record several of the classic Imperials songs probably spanning the first 25 or 30 years of the group’s history
Through the years I have learned so much of God's love and grace towards all mankind. The mercy I received as a sinner is still the same grace that I receive as a saint. When I fall, God extends that same loving hand down to me to pick me up
Nothing makes me feel safer that to come down the stairs in the morning to find my husband reading his Bible at the kitchen table. This type of faithfulness does set an atmosphere for victorious living
How many of you have heard this saying “God has a plan”? I have heard it all my life and I have always believed it. Even when all the circumstances going on in our lives don’t seem positive, I am often reminded of the scripture in Romans 8:28
The church doesn’t need some “song and dance” that gets them hyped up emotionally with no real substance. And I am not referring to any singing group who uses choreography in their program. We use a little in our own program. I’m talking about faith and integrity.
About a year ago, I began seeking God about recording a children's CD. We love kids. It seems that where Satan is at work in this world causing turmoil and destruction, the children are usually the innocent victims caught in the midst of the hurting.
Well it's finally done. The new recording that we have been talkiing about is finally out and it seems that folks are enjoying the Southern Gospel side of The King's Heralds. We have already worked for several promoters and have received good reveiews for which we are thankful
I recently joined my husband Mike on stage. We have had an amazing time so far. Each concert has been a dream come true. I never imagined how rewarding it would be to look over and be ministering with my husband.
Our producer called this week and wants to set a date for recording. We are so ready! We have been listening to new music and considering some older music that we did as a family. There is so much going on with 2nd G this year
Today, right now, this very moment is the beginning of the rest of my life !!! Yesterday's burdens and baggage don't belong here. They will only show up if I choose to bring them. The only way yesterday's pain and heartbreak can affect me is if I make the choice
I wonder, have you ever put something off until tomorrow only to find that it is now another month? I certainly have. It's as though the older I get the less time I have. By the end of each day I set and think of all that I didn't get done
March is just one of those months that it’s hard to write about. Except for the birthdays of two of my favorite people, my mom and my brother Don, it would be nearly uneventful. Apparently I’m not alone, for you don’t see many literary allusions to it
We often talk about revival. We seem to be looking for it or we schedule it at our churches for a few days or a week. During this time we will go to church night after night and then for a week or two after, we are on fire and God is all we can think or talk about
When you stop and think that when the writer was allowing GOD to use his pen and his heart, GOD was preparing for this ladies need. AMAZING! Through this event, I learned that all songs that are lifting up HIS name are ministry
A lady who always attends when we have a concert in her area, spoke to me often about her mother. She had terminal cancer so I was always given an update along with a prayer request when she came to our table after we sang
Just wanted to say "hi" from the BRRRRR cold of SW Ohio! We are experiencing temperatures the lowest we've had in two years!!! Winds today are expected between 40 and 45 mph!!! With temperatures as low as 8 degrees this morning, it's been a very blustery day
I have decided that my husband Tim has absolutely NO space bubble. He proved this recently with his innate driving skills. Humph. Tim had gone outside to move the red van to another spot in the driveway to make room for company. He came back into the house with that look on his face.
We have learned and are still learning that these CD's we make are not about showcasing special talents and abilities. We want them to be good -- the very best of our capabilities. But we know we've done our job (fulfilled our calling) when the music makes a difference in someone's life
Well the first tour of the new year is officially over and was deemed a success. After a much needed break for the holidays, we took off for Texas and Arkansas. Our first stop was in Houston and then on
south to McAllen down on the boarder
I remember the first time I knelt at an alter and gave my heart to Christ. It was July 25, 1987. Nearly twenty years ago. It was a hot summer night in Jackson County Kentucky. I had no knowledge of who Jesus is. I had no teaching of salvation
It all started out so well. Creating a decorative box to put valentines in seemed like a worthy endeavor. I still don't know how I mustered the courage to raise my hand, and the outcome has made me think twice about volunteering for anything else - ever
Just think, when this man’s family was in bed, and probably no one was thinking of him, he was on the forefront of GOD’s mind! That is awesome! This just leads into the amazing song, with a tremendous reminder that, GOD Has Not Forgotten You!
