MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL

I do hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving, I sure did. We had a wonderful time around the table with the family and being thankful for what God has blessed us with this year.
Now it is time for us to move on to the Blessed time of our Saviors Birth, Christmas: For unto us a Child was born : it has been our family tradition to read the Christmas story out of Luke Chapter 2, my Mom started this many years ago, and then about 2yrs before she went to be with Jesus, she passed it on to my son and my niece, and it is just not Christmas if we do not start with the reading of the Christmas story of our Saviors birth, Thank you Mom.

During this time of year there is a lot of joy being spread and even though’ our economy is not in the best of shape, let us not forget the reason for this season and share with everyone you come in contact with the One who can bring them joy even though the gifts may be less than last, or none at all for some. If you have extra, maybe you can buy a gift for a child you may know, or help with a gift that will put a smile on a face of a less fortunate child this year.

Christmas is about sharing Gods love and His Joy; about giving of yourself, but most of all, if you know Jesus and He lives in your heart then you have the best gift of all to give that is the GIFT OF SALVATION.

This is my favorite time of year, but it also is one of the hardest times for me since my mom is no longer with me, only because we shared so much during this time. You may or may not know someone like me, but I’m pretty sure you do, and sometimes it helps just to see a smile or get an extra hug. It is the little things in life that mean so much. Life is just so short so, let us not loose out on one opportunity to share the love and joy of our God. Christmas is not just in December, it is all year round.

I challenge you this month to do something extra nice for someone at work or in your family circle, or visit someone in a long term care facility, and give them a hug. So many of them do not see there families during this time of the year or any other time, and a smile from You may just make their day, and their Christmas. We singers, if we can find it in our hearts to take an hour and go sing to these people that cannot get out, you will be blessed beyond measure and you’ll put a smile on someone face that you’ll never forget….
I pray that you all have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Email me if any of you want to get together and go sing to someone that cannot get out…..

Love you all
