Phil and Jan Enloe - A Red Ribbon Christmas

Phil Enloe has a lot of nerve. He has it, but in a good way. Phil and his wife Jan have the nerve to try things that lot of other artists wouldn't try, and the result is some terrific sound recordings. For example, the very first song on the CD starts with a huge orchestration for a duet. The result, a huge sound for a huge song. Because of this, "When God Came Down" has as much dynamics as when it is recorded with a full choir. Skip down in the CD and you'll hear brilliant couple singing"O Come All Ye Faithful" with a very nice acoustic sound.

For you quartet lovers, Phil, as only Phil can do it, sings three of the parts as Jan adds the fourth part to make gret four part harmony on the Joy To The World - Medley". This CD is full of great classic Christmas songs and hymns, but perhaps my favorite is "Silent Night" which is sung perhaps 80% through with just the sound of handbells. It is certainly unique, but also a true blessing as you listen along. They saved the "merriest" Christmas song for the finally as "We Wish You The Merriest" leaves you happy, and glad that you listened to the whole CD.

This CD is full of great Christmas songs that you are sure to enjoy, including such songs as: "Angels We Have Heard On High", another one of my favorites, "Do You Hear What I Hear", "Come On Ring Those Bells, and five other festive songs.
