Burman Porter Leaves Dove Brothers
McCray Dove, of the Dove Brothers Quartet, announced today that bass singer, Burman Porter, has announced his resignation with the group and will be leaving at the end of May. Replacing Burman will be David Hester, former bass singer with The Anchormen. Reader Comments
My best wishes to Burman. He will be missed as the Dove Brothers version of "The Chief" in singing the old classics. He done an excellent job.
As for David? He gives the DB's a different mix. He has one of the lowest voices in SG today. The Anchormen have some big shoes to fill, but they'll find someone, just as they did when Jeff left. My best to both groups and their changes. I really liked the sound of both of these groups. I have high expectations for their new sound.
