Southern Gospel is buzzing with excitement at the formation of a brand new group. Tony McGee & New Covenant have recently been in the studio at Crossroads Studios with producer Danny Crawford working on their debut release.

Many will remember Tony from his days with the Redeemed. Tony was the distinctive voice behind the unique sound heard on songs such as Calvary's the Reason Why, It Will Pass, and Listen, Sinner, Listen, Just on the Other Side, and many others. Joining Tony is Shane Ferrell, who is recognized as one of the industry's leading radio promoters. Shane has promoted artists such as the Crabb Family, the Whisnants, the Perrys, the Primitive, Janet Paschal, and many others. The third part of the trio is filled by the powerful vocals of Karen McPherson, who has been singing for her entire life. Karen sang with Higher Calling for four years, prior to taking some time off the road. She is back in full swing and ready to sing Heaven down.

Tony McGee and New Covenant's debut recording is scheduled for release in mid-July and features songs from the pens of Kyla Rowland, Steve Hurte, Adina Bowman, Joel Lindsey, Cindi Ballard, and Stephen Phillips, as well as Tony. I can not wait to get my hands on a cd! Let me be the first to tell you this group is going to blow you away! I was honored to be invited to sit in with the group when they were recording some demos, to send to crossraods, over in Kingsport, TN and I think the group is going to do really good. I can't wait to be able to play their first song on the radio!

Shane, I have known you for a long time and I have seen how God has had His hand on you. Since I have met Tony I have come to realize that he his sensitive to the leading and direction of the Holy Spirit in his life.

I have seen how the Lord has worked and put you three together. I have seen God's hand of blessing has been on you all and supplied every need. I have truly seen I Chron. 4:10 work in your life!

I pray God's Blessings will continue in your ministry. My love and prayers are with you.

Tony McGee & New Covenant - Romans 8:28 is the perfect scripture to describe Karen, Tony & Shane. Knowing the call, good at what they do - talent & testimony, love God with all their heart, and called to service to reach the lost and hurting. I've known each one for many years and the combined talent is phenomenal! Karen-your spirit-filled singing and vibrant personality has blessed me for many years and now others will share in that blessing. Tony-your friendnship, family & talent has blessed me for along time. I will never forget your family, The McGees, singing at my Papaw's funeral. You were there at our time of need and we'll be there for you! Shane- To on of my best friends this side of Heaven. I am so proud of you for you step of faith. From the first time you filled in for us till your departure, I have seen your talent grow stronger, better, and most of all anointed with a heart to worship. You can honestly see that it's that "Joy" of the Lord that is making you strong with a willingness to go and be a service to the Lord. One word of advice-Don't drive your vehicle under a church awning and make a sunroof! haha! Let Tony or Karen drive. I love you all very much and pray that you have many souls for your labor.
