Tony McGee and New Covenant have been in the studio completing the final touches on their debut project, Somebody Prayed. Vocals were recorded June 1 through 4 in Knoxville, Tenn. at Southern Sound Studio. Vocals were produced by Mike Riddle, of the Primitive Quartet and Danny Brown. The project's release date is set for August 15.

Somebody Prayed will include songs from the pens of Kyla Rowland, Steve Hurte, Joel Lindsey, Cindi Ballard, Stephen Phillips, Adina Bowman and others. Also, as a special treat, Tony's daughter Bethany and Shane's son Zachary made their studio debut with a song on the project. New covenant consists of Tony McGee, formerly of the Redeemed, Shane Ferrell, Owner and Radio Promoter of Lighthouse Promotions , and Karen McPherson.
