Joy and Craig Sovine of Seffner, Florida recently visited Son Sound Studios to record a very special album in memory of a very dear friend of theirs. Joy cut tracks on Wednesday, July 21st and recorded her vocals the next day. Scott Barnett engineered the recording and he also produced the tracks. Holly Robinson-Blanton helped Joy on vocal day with production. “Joy was such a ”joy” to work with. God has blessed her with an amazing voice and such an incredible ear for music. We kidded her about setting a new studio record for recording 12 songs in less than seven hours. She did a tremendous job!” Holly will be joined by fellow 3 For 1 group member, Brad Hudson to arrange and complete the background vocals. Joy plans to title the recording, “Going Home” and it should have an October 2004 release date.
