Wednesday October 6 marks the first day of a Southern Gospel tour with a mission like none other before. Several Southern Gospel household names will join forces to support the Smoky Mountain children's Home in Sevierville, Tennessee.

Wednesday October 6 will bring the tour to Lawrenceville, Georgia to the Lawrenceville Church of God. The kick-off evening will feature Karen Peck & New River, Jonathan Martin, Judy Martin Hess, Sammy Hall, Harvest, and JP Miller.

Judy Martin Hess, Jonathan Martin, Sammy Hall, Harvest, and JP Miller will meet up with one of Christian music's greatest male vocalists of all times, Michael English, and one of Southern Gospel's fastest rising young quartets, Crossway for an evening of music and worship at the Metro Church of God in Birmingham, Alabama on Thursday October 7.

Friday October 8's concert will feature Crossway Quartet, the Princeton Pike Choir under the direction of Jim Phillips, Sammy Hall, Harvest, JP Miller, and a few special guests at the Princeton Pike Church of God in Hamilton, Ohio; while Sunday, October 10 will conclude the tour in Newport News, Virginia at World Outreach & Worship Center. Sunday evening's concert will feature the Freemans, the newly organized Mercy's Mark Quartet, featuring Garry Jones, formerly of Gold City, the Old Friends Quartet and Signature Sound, Harvest, Sammy Hall, and JP Miller.

The Smoky Mountain Children's Home is located in Sevierville, Tennessee. The home is a Christian organization that has been caring for abused, neglected, and abandoned children for more than 80 years. Children come to the home from all over the United States and receive care regardless of race, class, gender, or ability to pay. The home is funded entirely by donations. All proceeds from this concert will go directly to benefit the home.

The Smoky Mountain Children's Home branches out into various areas such as residential care and counseling for unmarried pregnant teenagers, boys ranches, feeding the hungry, caring for the elderly, and various other ministries throughout the nation.

All artists involved in this tour have a special heart to help see the home grow and reach many of the goals they have set for the upcoming year. With a tremendous amount of help from the home, from the Church of God organization, and from a committee of folks who love the Lord and these children, the tour has become a reality.
