Guild Announces Performers For Harmony Honors

Local Television To Support Event

NASHVILLE, Tenn.---The Southern Gospel Music Guild (SGMG) recently announced performers for the first annual Harmony Honors to be held in Hendersonville, Tennessee at the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) Studios on Monday, November 29, 2004 at 7:00 pm (cst). Brian Free & Assurance, the Whisnants, Mike Bowling, Joyce Martin, Karen Peck & New River, Gold City, the Talley Trio, Palmetto State, the Isaacs, the Perrys, the Crabb Family, an instrumental jam led by Anthony Burger and a special segment with the New Artist of the Year nominees. Presenters also scheduled to appear include SGMG President Judy Nelon, Paul Heil, Tim & Mary Alice Lovelace, Gerald Crabb, Brian Lester, Ann Downing, Faye Speer, Chris Freeman, Jerry Goff, Dottie Rambo, the Galloways, Clarke Beasley and BMI's Joyce Rice.

Admission is free and open to the public.

On Monday, November 29th the award winning Perrys will be performing during the "Tennessee Morning" show broadcast on Fox 17 in Nashville with Charlie Chase and Kelly Sutton at 6:00 am (cst). The show will also be simulcast on News radio 1510 WLAC in promotion of the Harmony Honors. Also that day, the Crabb Family will be appearing on Nashville News Channel 5's flagship show "Talk of the Town" with Harry Chapman at 12:30 pm (cst). Kelly, Adam, Aaron, Jason and Terah will be singing and interviewed about the event.

SoGospelNews.com will be giving minute-to-minute updates on http://www.sogospelnews.com during the night from Trinity Music City.

Currently, the accounting firm of Rayburn, Betts & Bates P.C. is calculating the Harmony Honors. The winners will be announced during the show in November. The Harmony Honors were created to honor those in the industry, by the industry, for their accomplishments over the past year. So glad to see that Dottie Rambo is going to be at the Harmony Awards. Why on earth is Dottie not performing on the show, but many lesser known acts have performance slots? Doesnt make any sense! The performers are all great, but an artist of Dottie's stature should not just be handing out an award, people want to hear her sing. You wouldnt have Vestal Goodman on the show to just hand out a trophy if she were still living.
