"When you know, you just know." How many times can we say that we have heard this cliche when listening to someone explain their true love? Most of us would say that we have heard it countless times whether in the movies or from aquaintences. After a while, it becomes somewhat of an unbelievable statement polluted with actions allowing someone the window to believe otherwise. How then, can we determine this sort of declaration to be true? How can we know that you know?

These are the musings from friends and family members of newly engaged Steven Michael Allen of The Allens in Lincoln Park, Michigan and Jennifer Leigh Adams of 4 Praise in Ethel, Mississippi. The two met in February of this year at Jennifer’s home church in Ethel, Mississippi while Steven was ministering in song with The Allens, consisting of his mother, Debbie and sister, Kimberly. Jennifer claims love at first sight and just knew that this was the one for her.

After millions of text messages, instant messages, phone calls and overage charges along with many frequent flyer miles these two finally solidified their love for each other with a romantic surprise engagement planned by Steven on Monday, November 22, 2004 at the Whitney in Downtown Detroit, MI. A handpicked bouquet of hot pink, orange, peach and white roses with one red rose topping it off awaited them at their reserved table. After dinner, Steven removed the red rose and handed it to Jennifer along with a declaration of love. With Jennifer’s distraction confirmed Steven reached into his pocket and removed the red ruby studded Faberge egg containing her beautiful engagement ring.

Young you say? Yes, in todays society where young love and marriage is something only our grandparents did, there is bound to be confrontation to the wisdom of their decision at such a young age. But, who can fault cupids arrow for making a bulls eye when they both know that they know that they know.
