Booth Brothers Annual Homecoming a Success

Last weekend was a highlight for the Booth Brothers as they held their annual homecoming in Florida. Held over two nights, almost 3,000 people attended the event. There were many highlights, but the most unique was the last half of the second night when the guys surprised the crowd by coming out dressed as cowboys with a full stage of western scenery, including a bull that Michael jumped on, although it wasn't a pretty sight (see the picture on their website http://www.boothbrothers.com ). Michael said the bull was "scared stiff". They then sang a number of songs made famous by the Sons of the Pioneers. Sounds boring? Put Michael in a cowboy setting and it was anything but! The guys were joined by Gordon Mote, an accomplished Nashville studio musician that has played with just about every major Christian or Country artist. Along with all the fun, God truly blessed the time as evidenced by the tremendous feedback the guys received.

Michael is such a nut! The Booth Bros. have a wonderful way of encouraging and uplifting Christians! We should be the happiest people around - we're heavenbound!

I can't wait to see them in Columbus, Indiana this weekend! I'm sure it will be quite a blessing.

Homecoming was incredible, as usual. Just when you think they can't get any better...they do!!! A lot of people were really touched. They guys brought back some old songs that they are known for. One of my favorite moments was when Michael sang "This Is My Valley", written by Dottie Rambo. It was beautiful. The guys had a blast as well. Can't wait til next year!

I always knew Michael could "shoot the bull" but I didn't know he would try to ride it.

I hesitated going to the Booth Brothers Homecoming because of time, cost from Milwaukee, and because I had the opportunity to see them many times in the Midwest during 2004. But after making the decision, I can't even imagine how I would feel knowing that I missed these two amazing performances -- and what would be missed if I hadn't been there for the second half of Saturday's performance.

I knew that the Booth Brothers had outstanding harmonies, unbelievable energy, the passion and comittment of their message. I did not know they could so easily and powerfully take me back to my childhood and the music from the Sons of the Pioneers -- and more. To everyone involved, Congratulations!!
