Daywind Record’s Artists See Stars At SGN Music Awards Celebration

--Crabb Family Honored With Biggest Win--

Murfreesboro, Tenn—(April 26, 2005)—Awards were handed out last night in Murfreesboro, Tennessee at Belle Aire Baptist Church by SouthernGospelNews.com during the Southern Gospel News Music Awards. Members of the Southern Gospel community were awarded star-studded statues in 23 different categories.

The Crabb Family picked up stars in six categories including Song of the Year (“He Came Looking for Me”), Album of the Year (Driven), Mixed Group of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year (Kelly Bowling), Progressive Southern Song of the Year (“Greater Is He”), and Best Album Cover (Driven).

Gerald Crabb was awarded three awards for Songwriter of the Year (Artist), as well as awards for penning the Song of the Year (“He Came Looking For Me”) and Progressive Song of the Year (“Greater Is He”). Kathy Crabb also accepted the Pacesetter Award for her work as manager of the Crabb Family.

Male Vocalist was awarded to Mike Bowling, who performed during the Awards ceremony. Also performing was sister duo the McRaes who took home Female Group of the Year rights, while breakthrough Artist of the Year honors went to Mercy’s Mark, who tied with Christlike.

The Perrys were honored for their hit single “I Wish I Could Have Been There” as Traditional Southern Gospel Song of the Year. LordSong's website http://www.lordsong.org was awarded Best Artist/Industry Website.

The Daywind roster of artists went home with 13 Southern Gospel News Awards at the end of the night.
