Brother’s Forever – Just Getting Started
![]() Producer: Curtis Hagy As the name of the recording implies, this group is “Just Getting Started.” This is, by all accounts, a decent recording for it being their first. Group leader, Chris Hagy, penned eight of the ten songs and for the most part, they are relatively good. Some are somewhat elementary and could be a bit deeper lyrically, but for a young writer, I am pretty impressed with some of his work. Along with Chris Hagy, the group also includes, Chris Churchwell, Jody Pierce and Kevin Adams. The uptempo “WASH ALL OF ME” starts the recording and then things slow down for “MORE THAN JUST A SONG”, which is a play on the hymn “Amazing Grace”, saying that God's amazing Grace is more than just a song. It's a good hook, I think. Other songs include their single “A BETTER PLACE” as well as “CHRIST IS MY LIFE”, “HE CAN'T CROSS THE BLOOD” and “HE NEVER CHANGES”. There are a few songs that really seem to stand out on this recording. “IN HIS HANDS” is one of my favorite songs written by Israel Crawford, and I was pleased to see this song included. The worshipful “YOU ALONE ARE WORTHY” takes the prize as the best song on this recording. I can't help but be taken in with this song. Two other songs that really stand out to me are the acoustical, Praise & Worship “HERE I AM LORD” and the hauntingly beautiful, “BY YOUR SIDE” , which was written by Hagy. As I said earlier, the songwriting is good. The vocals are good, and the music tracks are adequate. My biggest gripe with this recording is the lack of continuity in the musical styles. I am all for variety, but it seems that the group is trying to find a musical identity. You have a couple of Bluegrass songs, and then you have 2 or 3 Southern Gospel songs, 2 or 3 Country style songs and 2 or 3 Inspirational/Praise and Worship type songs, but no basic sound for the group. In my opinion, the group sounds best with either the straight Bluegrass or the Inspirational/Praise and Worship type songs. Oddly enough, they sound the weakest with the average Southern Gospel sound. My best advice to the group is to find a sound that works best for them and stick with it. All in all though, this isn't a bad recording. There is a TON of potential here. It's very good for their first effort, and I honestly look forward to hearing what these guys put out next. I just wanted to say that these guys are true genuine people. I have the honor to call them close friends. We have sang in service with them and even at NQC and they are the same anywhere you see them. They have such an annointing and they are so excited about what they do!!! We love you all and we are so happy for you. Keep on for God and he'll take you where you need to go!!! James, we too were glad to see them add one of Israels songs (In His Hands)to their project since he pens most of our material too!! He is a great songwriter!!

The title "Brothers Forever" requires no apostrophe. To make a singular into a plural requires no apostrophe.

I would like to say what a wonderful group of men these guys are. They are supportive of the endeavor our Soldiers face in this war and have worked with me on several projects. God bless each one of them as much as they have blessed me and their fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.
May God be with you and keep you and your families safe. Love to all!

These group of guys are truly a blessing from God. My husband was a sinner and attended a benefit singing with me which they were singing in, he was so touched by their sincerity and Love for God. He gave his life to God that night and I am so thankful for those who are out doing the work of God. God Bless, and we Love you Guys.
