Charlotte Ritchie has one of the sweetest voices of anyone else in Southern Gospel Music. It continues to amaze me at how effortlessly she sings. This latest effort by Charlotte showcases those stellar vocals in such an array of songs, that everyone will find something to enjoy.

Sweet Bluegrass harmonies begin the lead off song, "I'M GONNA TAKE THAT MOUNTAIN", but don't let that fool you as the band kicks in and the song becomes a driving country infested tune. Keeping things in high energy mode, Charlotte turns in an exceptional performance on "IN EVERYTHING GIVE THANKS". (Yes, this is the same song penned by Sheri Easter and recorded by Jeff & Sheri several years ago)

"NO ONE KNOWS MY HEART BETTER THAN YOU" slows things down quite a bit before picking the pace back up a bit for the driving "YOU ARE HERE WITH ME". Accented by a live string section, the song is a definite highlight of the recording.

The title song, "BRIDGES OVER BLUE" features a "New Grass" feel before Charlotte and her son, Landon turns in a tender performance on an older Gaither penned tune entitled, "MY FATHER'S ANGELS".

The first single release from this recording is the peppy "I'VE GOT JOY" and the song should do extremely well for Charlotte on radio. The pace then slows down a bit for "NOTHING KEEPS YOU FROM HIS LOVE" which gently reminds us that "there is not a mountain, there is not a valley...darkness cannot hide you, He still walks beside you, nothing keeps you from His love." The Appalachian flavor of "WHAT LOVE HAS GROWN" follows and the hauntingly striking tune, "SOMETIMES I PICTURE GOD THAT WAY" rounds out the recording and leaves you somewhat breathless as you drink in the message of the final song.

As I said at the beginnig Charlotte sings so effortlessly and her voice is that of an angel. I've always been amazed at the talent Charlotte posses and how she seems so content just being in the background. Well now that talent is at the forefront and if this recording is any indication, the forefront is where she will stay!

My husband and I enjoy your music so much. God bless you, Gregg and your family. Have you had your second child yet? Anxious to hear all about it.
