Don and Cheri Baldwin have gone back and put many of the old Couriers records on CDs. I now own two of them and they are excellent duplications of the old records. Most of the pops and hisses are gone.

This Christmas CD is old, possibly recorded in the 60s, so the instrumentation is not what it would be today, but if you are one of those many who read this web site and LOVE those old recordings, then this one will fit you to a tee. You are able to catch the feel of the 60s recording while listening to it on modern technology.

This CD is full of great Christmas Carols, including:

Deon, I'm glad to see you reviewing projects like this...this classic Christmas album was recorded in 1964, and recorded in just a few hours!

I own the original LP, and have 2 CD copies of it as well...and although my LP is in excellent condition, the CDs seem to enhance the sound quality(and thus the listening experience)substantially!

For the interested, almost all of the Couriers Quartet's recordings on LP are now available on CD...most of them because of Cheri and Don. I would recommend contacting them if one is looking for this classic gospel material.

Thanks Deon...and John, for your appreciation of and recognizing the Classic Couriers music. The "Joy" CD is circa 1963/64
I appreciate the prayers and concern of your readers for Don during his 21 day hospitalization. He is doing so much better these days. Thank the Lord!

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by location and http// I'm not so adept at this new technology as I'd like to be. Please respond. Found your site as I was surfing and keyed in "Couriers Quartet" which I grew up on.
