The Dills hail from Jackson , Tennessee and consist of brothers, Tim and Shawn Dill, and their wives, Bridget and LeeAnn, respectively. They have a sound very similar to the Nelons from the Karen Peck era. Bridget, who is the soprano, has a sound that is a mix between the emotion of Karen Peck and the light and airy sound of Charlotte Penhollow-Ritchie. The group as a whole has very high tones, which pushes the group's harmony through the ceiling at times. It depends on your tastes as to whether you'll like that or not. They aren't screamers, just high-pitched singers. As for me, I am very impressed with this group and their sound.

The oft recorded Greg Day penned tune, “IT'S ENOUGH” gets the CD started and then the group moves on to their current single, “OH, WHAT A BEAUTIFUL CITY”. This song was a pretty popular tune back around the mid 1970s, and the Dills do great job reviving it, though it sounds a bit rushed. I think slowing the song down a bit would have given the song a bit more emotion, and a less rushed feel.

The pace picks back up for a Rodney Griffin tune, “ENJOY YOUR DAY”. The group also included two other Rodney Griffin songs; the encouraging “JUST KEEP ON PRAYING” and the profound “DO YOU HAVE HIS ROBE?”.

The medium tempo “I WILL ARISE” (which is another song that sounds a bit rushed) and the worshipful, “LAMB OF GOD” paves the way for Tim Dill's offering of an original on the title song, “PREPARING THE WAY”, and is a very good tune. I find this song bouncing around in my head quite often.

The recording ends with two uptempo songs, “YOU KNOW THE FEELING IN THIS HEART OF MINE” written by Lori Kelley and the concert favorite, “WALK RIGHT OUT OF THIS VALLEY”. The ending of this song will have you pealed to the rafters.

This group has tons of energy and you can't help but get into their music. I have been so impressed with this group that I even mentioned them in an article I wrote a couple of months ago about groups to keep an eye out for. They have an infectious sound and they seem to really excel on the more uptempo numbers. They have some really kickin' music tracks as well. This is the one group to definitely check out!

I got the chance to hear a project from the Dills several months ago. Great harmonies, with a very refreshing sound will help this young group go far and reach many with the the songs they sing. Get a copy of their CD. You'll be blessed.

As a soloist and songwriter from the West Tennessee area I have had occasion to hear as well as perform on programs with the Dills. Congratulations to them on this project and their single. I wish them the best and hope to get to hear them again soon!

I'm proud to know Tim, Bridget, Shawn, and LeeAnn. They have a great sound and most of all a great spirit about them. I am impressed with their tight harmonies and song arrangements. Put forth the effort to visit them in concert and I know you'll fall in love with them, too.

The new song's not bad... I would have loved to hear something a little more "go-get-em" for a first release. I think if they had come out with one of the more uptempo songs it would have helped the success of Oh What a beautiful city. I feel this could be one of the weakest songs on the project. Therefore my station is not playing it. Hopefully we can pick up on the next song.

I had a chance to spend time with the dills at the streets of gold concert in Pennsylvinia. They are awsome. They have tight harmony. They show alot of spirit in there music. there so great to hear in person!!!!!!!

I've had a chance to hear The Dills live twice now, and they just keep getting better and better! They are talented, Spirit-gifted, and just plain great. Their harmonies and stage presence are top-rate. If you get a chance to hear them - GO. They are a blessing, and truly have a heart for Jesus.

I had the chance of seeing the Dills perform at my church in Fairfield, OH. I had never heard them before. As soon as they started singing, my ears perked up. I am a singer in my church and I know what sounds good and they sounded awesome! The harmony really did it for me. Oh what a beautiful city was wonderful and touched my whole church.
