Compilation Produced by Ernest Jergensen and Roger Semon
Recorded Transfers at Sony Studios, NY
Label – BMG

If you are an Elvis fan, you are going to LOVE this CD. It has 24 of Elvis' greatest Gospel hits, including "How Great Thou Art", "You'll Never Walk Along", and "He Touched Me", which happen to be all of his Grammy Award songs. Of course you will hear some great back up singing by the Jordon, the Stamps, and the Imperials, who were all in the studio with Elvis.

One of my favorite songs on this CD is "I, John" which Elvis really "cuts a rug" on. There are slow songs, fast songs, ballads, and Spirituals on this CD, so you are bound to like some of the songs on this recording.

This is Elvis at some of his finest singing, so if you are looking for a nice Christmas gift, this is one CD you need to look at.

I heard some clips of this cd and loved it. Elvis, from what I have heard truthfully loved singing gospel more than rock or country. I recommend this cd to anyone wanting a smooth gospel sound that only " the King" could give.

Deon-Thanks for the review. We were really excited for this release. the first single"Who Am I? " received great response. The album had less than desirable units. We were totally disappointed in the units sold. but, these masters have been reprinted and moved 250,000,000 pieces in the last few decades. So, with that said, " I told BMG- unless we are taping into the Alien market, I think these masters have been HEARD."

I have this CD and LOVE it! My favorites - "Bosom of Abraham" and "Lead Me, Guide Me." Top notch album, as good a collection of Elvis gospel you can find for a decent price.

**Trivia**
The only Grammy that Elvis ever recieved was his 1966 gospel album "How Great Thou Art".
Sources that participated in the actual session say that Elvis had never heard the song "How Great Thou Art" until the night he recorded it.
