Ernie Haase - Celebration Time
Ernie has selected some nice familiar Christmas tunes as well as some that I had never heard before. The opening tune is entitled “Jingle Bells”, but it starts with a nifty little “jingle” of its own. He has jazzed up this cut and it sounds great. One of the more traditional songs is “Mary’s Little Boy Child”. He treats this cut with reverence and it can easily be worshipped to. “All About Christmas” starts off with the feel of the old Davy Crockett soundtrack, and then breaks into a great quartet sound. You can have a hand clapping good time listening to this song. No Christmas selection is complete without “Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer” You throw in a little “Santa” form George Younce, and you have a neat song. Ernie’s brilliant Tenor voice shines as he gives a strong interpretation to “O Holy Night” and “Ave Maria”. “The Same Old Story” is a beautiful ballad portraying the Christmas story in simplicity. Other nice songs include “Winter Wonderland”, “Mary Holds The Light”, and “A Little More Love.” Reader CommentsJoshua Noah
