Firm Foundation is a great young group who recently went from being a trio to a quartet. I think the move rounded out their sound. This new CD shows some real progression and just may put them on the Southern Gospel map.

With such songwriters as Dianne Wilkerson, Ann Downing, Susan Jones, Steven Cheney, and Patti Hawkins, this CD is bound to have some nice music on it. The opening song, penned by Ann Downing, Dianne Wilkerson, and Laurie Winton sets the mood for the whole CD. This medium tempo song has nice harmony and a great message about going home. “When I Think About Going Home” would be a good radio cut.

“If It Wasn’t For The Cross” and “Love Called My Name” are beautiful ballads with the Salvation message coming through loud and clear.

Again from the pen of Dianne Wilkerson, “I Want To Go Higher” is a great ole Camp Meeting song. The chorus is very catchy and you will find yourself singing along in no time at all.

“Something Better In Mind” has just been released to radio and should do quite well. The harmony is good and they run some nice unison through the song that just grabs your attention. If you need an uplift in your spirit, this song should give you that boost that you’re needing.

“It’s Good To Know” is another upbeat song that will get your motor revvin”. The track has some nice fiddles and extra strings which just adds a little umph to the song.

Closing out the list of songs these guys do a nice job on the old Red Hymnal tune, “Happy Am I”. It’s a very nice traditional song, closing out a very good traditional recording. Other nice songs include “His Grace Is Sufficient”, “Let Me Tell You Again”, “Love Called My Name”, and “The Time Is Now”. There is nice little surprise ending with a reprise of the chorus on “Something Better In Mind” which leaves you on a real high.

We have this cd and have worn it out. I have had the pleasure of meeting these guys and performing with them. They have such a beautiful blend and such an annointing in their lives. No doubt they will go a long way in the Southern Gospel Music World.

The new CD is amazing. The songs are catchy and uplifting and you guys sound wonderful together. God has truly blessed each one of you with talent and I look forward to hearing and seeing more of you.

These guy's have the ability to harmonize so well that without knowing them you can't tell which one is singing which part. It is wonderful to see these men standing up and proclaiming their faith in God. LOOK OUT YOU OTHER GROUPS. THESE GUY'S ARE COMING ON

The quality of this project is outstanding. Jeff Collins has hit a home run with his efforts producing this project. The guys are coming together vocally better than ever before. A classic quartet harmony with a balance of tradition and a touch of modern arrangements make this a must have for any gospel music fan. This group is not only quality on CD, they are just as exciting in person, and with a quality standard that is hard to beat. Steve, Anthony, Andy, and Chris...my hats off to you and "Good To Know!"
