From Waynesville, Ohio comes the ladies duo, Hearts Of Faith. Their latest project, Mercy, Grace And Love, is filled with some very good songs from some of the industry's top writers.
The project starts with a pretty ballad from the pens of Greg Day and Phil Cross, "Mercy’s Gift." Greg Day is also the co-writer of the second track, "Run To The Blood."
John Darin Rowsey’s song, "Let The Healing Begin" is a nice ballad that shows off some pretty harmonies by Brenda and Donna. These ladies do a nice job on the Crabb Family tune; "I Could Tell You Had Forgotten."
"Susie’s Eyes" is a country flavored ballad and is followed by two nice songs written by Dee Gaskin and Lori Kerr, "God Of Salvation" and "Break The Bread." Both of these songs are ballads as well.
"Good To Go" picks up the tempo and is a nice change of pace. "Feed My Sheep" lets the girls cut loose on a bluegrass song. This song brings a little variety to the project. The project ends with another straight forward southern gospel song, "Fly Away From Here".
Hearts of Faith have put out a nice project. Overall, the recording could have benefited from another fast song or two or possibly just a better layout of songs. The CD Was slow moving until the end.
It is evident that these ladies enjoy what they do and it comes through on this CD.
