One person that personifies legend is the one and only Jake Hess. One of the true pioneers for our field of music in the 1940s, 50s and 60s, Jake is still at it at 76 years of age, and can still belt it out with the best of ‘em. This recording is a true testament to the life of Jake Hess as he has lived many of these songs.

Featuring such new songs as “GOTTA GET A GOD SAID”, “WHERE THE TEARDROPS NEVER FALL”, “TELL ‘EM” (which features Jake and Jake Jr. together), “I THINK I’VE GOT IT MADE” and a song that describes Jake to a “T” written by Daryl Williams called “I HAVE NEVER WALKED ALONE” (which is the true triumph of the entire recording).

Of course, this recording wouldn’t be complete without a few classic tunes from the past such as “NEW BORN FEELIN’”, “THAT’S ENOUGH”, “COME SEE ME”, “A VERY SPECIAL GRACE”, “HIS HAND IN MINE” and “SWEETER AS THE DAYS GO BY.”

Featuring the outstanding vocal talents of the Talley Trio as they blend in the background with the incomparable voice of Jake Hess, this is a well-rounded recording and features Jake in good voice. With all Jake has accomplished throughout his life, he is the essence of the words humbleness and meekness. He is everything that true legends are made of and it is great to hear him singing just one more time.
