Label: Spring Hill
Song Titles: "Carry Me," "Been There, Done That," "Praise His Name," "Morning's Coming," "One Way," "Tavern To A Temple," "Learn To Love Again," "I Need You," "Goin' Away Party," "Speak To The Mountain," "Singing In My Soul," "Thread Of Hope," "Thank You Lord For Your Blessings," and "We're Not Gonna Bow"

Miles and Milestones is a good title for a collection of previously recorded songs. It's more imaginative than a generic "Greatest Hits" or "Best Of" title, and it doesn't restrict the project to songs that saw significant chart action. That being said, Miles and Milestones pretty much includes the songs you'd expect to see on a greatest hits project by Jeff and Sheri Easter. From "Thread Of Hope" to "Goin' Away Party" to "Singing In My Soul" (from Sheri's solo CD) this project showcases the depth and breadth of Jeff and Sheri's career.

The liner notes say this project marks the couple's 20th year traveling together. All the songs on Miles and Milestones come from projects originally released in the ten-year span from 1994 (Thread Of Hope) to 2003 (Forever And A Day). If you're looking for songs from their first decade together, a collection called Through The Years was still in print at the time this review was written.

Spring Hill wisely included no songs from 2004's Sunshine, so fans can buy the two most recent CDs and have no duplication of songs. In a perfect world, they'd have cut a couple of new tracks to give fans who already own several Jeff and Sheri CDs an incentive to buy Miles And Milestones, but that's a minor gripe. While all the tracks could be called highlights if you consider the scope of this recording, my personal picks include "Tavern To A Temple," "Thank You Lord For Your Blessings" (as Jeff offers his version of a song written and popularized by his father's bluegrass group), "Speak To The Mountain," "One Way" (with some help from Russ Taff), and "Thread Of Hope."

Note: This recording was supposed to release on October 18, 2005, but as of early December, I was unable to find it for sale after checking several major retailer websites. The release may have been delayed, although that's rare for a collection of previously recorded tracks.

InHisTime's avatar What a fabulous CD! I don't know anyone who does not enjoy the wonderful music of Jeff and Sheri Easter. I especially love the songs: Carry Me, Praise His Name, Morning's Coming, I Need You, Singing in My Soul, and Thread of Hope. Actually, all the songs on this CD are wonderful and I would highly recommend it!

Many a time you can find me driving down the road singing "Morning's Coming" along with Sheri. What a power-filled song! Great CD Jeff and Sheri! Keep up the good work!

Amazed in His presence and humbled by His great love!
