I have lovingly owned Birmingham Alabama’s Own Steel City Quartet for the past 10 years. Yes, SteelcityLead is our lead singer. We are a busy well established regional quartet averaging about 70 dates per year. You can hear the current quartet @ myspace/steel city quartet . Okay, here’s what I’m looking for…..males aged 18-29 (or close to it!) who want to take a fresh approach to quartet singing. I am looking to put together a quartet, but I’m not after the traditional convention-style stuff or plain-jane vanilla. I’m looking for some guys who are willing to experiment with different vocal styles and arrangements and aren’t afraid to think outside the box. There’s nothing wrong with the 4 guys and a piano approach, but that’s not what I’m after.

For starters, we would stay close to home, taking our time to build our sound and solidify the group. I am in no hurry to hit the “big time” circuit; if it takes a while to get the ball rollin’, then we’ll take a while.
