Matt is not with the Inspirations any longer and left the church he pastored. Does any one know why???

There are only a few people that know the reason why Matt left the Inspirations and his church here in Ga and that is the way it needs to be.  Just pray for Matt and the situation he and his family are going through and let that be enough.  I know that the family will appreciate your prayers and not letting rumors get the best of the situation.

I know they recently found his nephew dead in Iraq, who had been missing for 2 yrs, that may have taken a toll on him.

Who is singing lead with the Inspirations now?

I agree with GAborn.  I don’t know Bro. Matt or his family on a personal level but we love him in the Lord and we are praying for them.

Matt was my preacher at the church he pastored in South Carolina.. I just found out what happened a few hours ago.. but yea it needs to stay unspoken… just pray.. please.. just pray.. his brother Mark is my pastor now.. pray for him and all their family. They need all the support they can get.

Melton Campbell sang lead and i think the back-up for Archie sang baritone the night I saw them.

I am a friend of Matt’s and the family and just wanted to say thank you to everyone who is lifting him and everyone up in prayer. I just wanted to clarify some questions that I have noticed. First of all, yes Matt has left the Inspirations and the church. I agree that rumors do not need to start so all I will say is that he is having to seek God’s will about where to go next in his life. It does not have anything to do with his nephew dying in Iraq, although that would be devastating for anyone. Lastly as for who will be filling in for Matt, Christ Smith and Daron Osborne have been filling in. The Inspirations are not planning on hiring a new lead singer until next year. I can’t explain to you the importance of Matt being lifted up in prayer at this time. If you have any questions I will try to answer them. Please do not try to pry into his life- if he’s been a blessing to you I trust you would respect his privacy.
