adkinsdean's avatar I know that I am just one of many who enjoyed John's informative articles that appeared here each month. I'm sure that he has expanded the knowledge base of SG fans through his extensive research. Thanks for keeping the legacy of good ol' gospel music alive.

John, you can't just leave me uninformed about Southern Gospel History. Where should I go, and who should I go to?

Deon Unthank's avatar Congratualtions to John, on his new endeavor.
Don't be discouraged though, A History article will continue on this web site also.

SouthernGospelNews's avatar Melvin, While we wish John all the best at Grand Ole Gospel Reunion, and we will be visiting him there ourselves, SG History 101 will continue here at SoGospelNews. Be watching November 1.

Thank you all for your kind words. I certainly have appreciated the opportunity that Southern Gospel News has afforded me to share about these pioneers of the past. It has become a monthly labor of love.

I am sure that the next writer will continue to deliver excellence to the web site. I know I'm looking forward to reading it.

May God bless you all.

John's knowledge of gospel music is incredible. I have known him since he was a teenager, and I never cease to be amazed how much he knows about things that occurred before he was even born.

He will be missed, but I am sure you will continue the good tradition on your website.

John, I have been a fan of yours for a long time. Having been a "gospel singer and pianist for about 59 years, I know or have met most of the people you write about. I still enjoy reading about the "old-timers". Keep up the good work. Jimi
