WASHINGTON, DC – Gospel music will be the topic on national radio as Mark Ward, author of “Music in the Air: The Golden Age of Gospel Radio,” will be a featured guest Thursday, June 30, on the “Janet Parshall’s America” syndicated talk show. Originating from the Nation’s Capital, the program is distributed by the Salem Radio Network to more than 100 stations nationwide.
“Music in the Air” details the stories of yesteryear's great radio quartets, classic gospel songwriters, and pioneering radio preachers. Stories behind more than 100 gospel songs, written between the 1920s and 1950s, are told as “Music in the Air” chronicles the colorful history of Christian radio during its golden age.
