Festival Gearing Up for an Exciting Time!

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Deon and Susan Unthank, owners and editors of SouthernGospelNews.com, are proud to announce the official sponsors of the 6th Annual Gospel Music Fan Festival.

This year’s sponsors are Lamp Music Group, Johnny Minick Ministries, Young Harmony Ministries, and Betty Tetzlaff Ministries.

“We are so glad that these four entities have decided to show their support for the Fan Festival,” said Deon Unthank, owner of SouthernGospelNews.com & the Gospel Music Fan Festival. “The support that we have seen for the Festival this year, both from fans and industry professionals, has totally blown our minds. We encourage everyone to show their support to these sponsors!”

Lamp Music Group has been solely focused on the ministry of Gospel music. Though it may not be the most glamorous approach, Mike & Rhonda Pillow have tried to operate this record company by the leadership of the Lord, rather than units of success established by men. In an industry where companies come and go almost on a monthly basis, God has blessed this organization and has allowed Lamp Music steady and continual growth year after year. Artists currently on the Lamp Music Group roster include Nicole Watts-Jenkins, Naomi & the Segos, Old Paths Trio, Eva Mae LeFevre, and many more.

Johnny Minick Ministries is currently based out of Smyrna, TN. Sweetest Song I Know ~ A Tribute to the Happy Goodmans is the first solo album from Johnny Minick, former baritone and piano player for the Happy Goodmans. This tribute includes songs that span the 30 year relationship that Johnny had with the Goodmans. Also featured were Southern Gospel favorites like Russ Taff, Tanya Goodman-Sykes, Reggie & Ladye Love Smith, Gene McDonald, Alison Durham-Speer, and many more on background vocals. The album was produced by Johnny Minick, Aaron Minick, Les Butler, and Rick Goodman. The first single, “Tellin’ My Blues Goodbye” is storming up the charts.

Young Harmony Ministries is made up of the husband and wife team of Johnathan & Ginger Bonds. Young Harmony was named 2004 Duet of the Year on November 4, 2004 at the Ryman Auditorium at the Christian Country Music Awards. This year has been a wonderful year for the duo. You will recognize them from their hit songs “God Has Not Forgotten You” and “Can the World See Jesus in You”. When asked about the success of Young Harmony, Johnathan stated, “Together, we are changing lives, one heart at a time!” Young Harmony was recently nominated for a Dove Award for Southern Gospel Album of the Year at the 2005 GMA Music Awards.

Betty Tetzlaff has been singing and recording Southern Gospel & Country and Western Gospel music her entire life. After losing her eyesight over 30 years ago, Tetzlaff has triumphed over her disability by continuing to lift up the name of Lord. Betty has written over 20 songs throughout her career, as well as recorded over 10 albums in her career. Along with her solo ministry, Betty Tetzlaff also sings with the Soul Singers.
