Mike Bowling Group Debuts During 2005 National Quartet Convention

LOUISVILLE, Tenn.—Popular soloist Mike Bowling was pleased to debut his brand new group, The Mike Bowling Group, during the 2005 National Quartet Convention (NQC) in Louisville, KY last week. The group premiered on the DJ Appreciation Cruise, hosted by Daywind Music, on Thursday morning and then joined Mike during the soloist showcase Thursday afternoon.

Mike, his brother Jeff, their cousin Karen and Jeff’s wife Kim comprise the group to create those unmistakable, unmatched family harmonies. Mike has enjoyed a very successful solo career, but is by nature a team player at heart and thrilled once again to be part of a group. Jeff is noted for his time singing with the Hoskins Family prior to forming the Bowlings with his wife Kim. Although Karen has been off stage for a few years, she is no stranger to Gospel music. Two decades ago, Karen performed with Jeff and Mike in Family Tradition for a ten-year span. Karen’s husband, Jimmy Parker will accompany the group handling sound and various behind the scene responsibilities.

The Mike Bowling Group will soon be in the studio working on their debut project, which is set to release in Spring 2006. They have a booking agreement with the Beckie Simmons Agency (BSA).

I heard a great song on the radio last Saturday.It was One More Miracle For Me. I checked at a Christian book store but they didn't have it. Just wondering if that is your song. It truly touched me because right now in my life I need a miracle. Please let me know because I would like to buy the CD. Also please pray for me that I will get that one more miracle from God. I don't deserve it but I sure need it. Thanks, Sharon

"One More Miracle" was recorded by The Bowlings - Jeff & Kim's old group. It was recorded before Mike formed this new one.

I am WAY excited about this new group. Mike Bowling is one of my all-time favorite male vocalists. His performance of "That I Could Still Go Free" with the Crabbs at NQC was a highlight for me. I'm definetly praying that God opens doors for this new quartet.

"One More Miracle" has also been recorded by the Dove Brothers for their upcoming release Anything But Ordinary...Everything But Typical.

Their version features bass singer David Hester.

looks like folks would learn to put on decent clothes when they pose for pictures. I guess when your bus looks that bad you have to dress for bus repairs. But the women too? Lord save them! Clean them up Lord.
