Betty Jo Linneman, Co-Founder of Hilltop Recording Studio, Passes Away

Betty Jo Linneman, co-founder of Hilltop Recording Studio, died yesterday at age 82. She had been struggling with a heart condition. Services are on Thursday at 3:00PM at Spring Hill Cemetery on Gallatin Rd. in Madison, TN.

Founded in 1969 as one of Nashville's first independent recording studios, Hilltop and Jack and Betty Jo Linneman have been major contributors to the world of Southern Gospel Music.

I leased and Managed Hilltop Studio in the 80's and at that time Betty Jo lived upstairs and she would come down and visit us, she was always very courteous to us. She even helped me make the connection to use the Jordanaires on a lot of my sessions. Sorry to hear of her passing
