The New Plainsmen announces that lead singer, Dale Ozment, and baritone, Keith Nickell, have chosen to leave the road. Dale has been with TNPQ since 2000. Dale feels he needs to be present with his kids right now while they are involved in many activities. Keith Nickell, who has been with TNPQ for 18 months, has accepted a job that will make him unavailable to travel and sing with the group.

“We will miss both of these guys”, says manager James Sparks. “They have been a great asset and hopefully gospel music has not seen the last of these two men.”

The New Plainsmen are excited to announce that the position of lead singer has been filled by Brent Gordon from Durant, Oklahoma. Brent has been in gospel music for many years. He is married and has a beautiful five-year-old daughter. The quartet is looking forward to Brent coming aboard and anticipates great things. More info on Brent will be forthcoming on the TNPQ web site at http://www.thenewplainsmen.com as it becomes available.

TNPQ is happy to announce that former member Dwain Petty is back in the position of baritone! Dwain who is married to Donna, resides in Plano, TX.

James states, “Dwain has decided he just can’t get enough of TNPQ. This will be his third stint with TNPQ. We know what he can do and we are pleased that he wants to be a part of this quartet again.”

The latest line-up of TNPQ members is as follows: James Sparks-tenor/manager; Brent Gordon-lead; Dwain Petty-baritone; and Billy Dotson-bass. Dwain and Brent begin touring with The New Plainsmen January 29, 2006. Come see TNPQ and make these new members feel welcome.
