
Nashville, TN- Rick Hendrix of the Rick Hendrix Company was honored recently with a Southern Gospel News Award nomination for radio promoter of the year.
"I was really honored to be recognized by my peers for something I love to do," stated Hendrix.
Rick Hendrix has promoted over 2000 Southern Gospel songs over the past decade. Hendrix promoted the first hit singles for artist like The Martins and Crabb Family. Rick Hendrix Company has helped over 300 artist break their first Top 80 records and scored 64 # 1 songs, with the latest being Ernie Haase and Signature Sound's "Do You Wanna Be Forgiven"
"I have always loved promoting. It's a calling God gave me," said Hendrix.
The Rick Hendrix Company currently handles radio promotions for The Hoppers, Crabb Family, Hoskins Family, Florida Boys, Ernie Haase and Signature Sound and many others.
The nominees for the SGN Music Awards were chosen by the DJs votes in the SouthernGospelNews.com 2006 Music Awards. Beginning on February 8, 2006, the DJs will again get a chance to vote for their favorites in this category while fans get a chance to vote on their favorites in the other categories. Voting ends on February 28, 2006. Winners of the awards will be announced at the 2006 SGN Music Awards Celebration on April 25, 2006 in Smyrna, Tennessee.
