GREENSBORO, North Carolina – Mercy's Well, one of the industry’s most exciting new trios, will be releasing its latest recording this Friday, April 21, 2006. The new album – titled Hymns, Stories for Life…Stories That Live, Chapter 1, was produced by Donna Beauvais (of Hope’s Call) and arranged by Beauvais and group owner Brad Strider.
The new album is a unique entrance into the Southern Gospel community – featuring a piano only accompaniment with complicated chord structures and vocal arrangements performed by the men of Mercy’s Well.
“I am so thrilled to have had the opportunity to work with Mercy's Well on this record,” mentioned producer Donna Beauvais. “They had a tremendous challenge to pull together some of the most amazing and timeless songs of old. Then the guys had to step up and just sing their hearts out...and that they surely did! Accompanied by fresh-sounding ‘piano-only’ tracks, this project has something that will appeal to every age. I loved being a part of this project, and I feel like everyone will really love listening to it!”
The new album contains such treasured songs as “Tis So Sweet,” “The Haven of Rest,” “It Is Well With My Soul,” “When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder,” “The Love of God,” many others. The new album also includes one new song written by Chris Binion entitled, “Nothing But the Blood (Still Saves the Lost).”
Mercy’s Well will be performing a new album release concert this coming weekend at St. Luke United Methodist Church in Lancaster, South Carolina this
Sunday, April 23, 2006.
Hymns, Stories for Life…Stories That Live, Chapter 1 is the first album that features new members Greg Gainer and Kyle Hake. The group’s current single is “Oh, the Blood of Christ” from the group’s last studio album, Journey of a Lifetime.
Mercy’s Well last single, “Old Campmeetin’” debuted on the Singing News Top 80 at #50 for the upcoming February 2006 chart. This was the group’s highest charting debut to date.
