The Klaudt Indian Memorial Foundation is in the final negotiating stages of launching a television program. The half hour program will be taped at a local Atlanta, Georgia television station and will feature several different styles of gospel and religious singing and music. There is already an interest from several stations in airing the program. The program will not be time dated so as not to obsolete the canned nature of the program for compatibility to other markets.
The Klaudt Family has always been noted for their creative and innovative thinking when it comes to a formatted musical presentation of the Gospel Message of Christ. The theme of the program comes from Colossians 3: 1 (a) and 16 (b) that says, “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord”.
It is a concern of the Foundation that churches are now splitting because of styles and types of church music. Although the Klaudt Family loves Southern Gospel Music, they have never closed their hearts and minds to how different genres format their songs of praise to their Lord. When the Klaudts came south in the late forties, they were often referred to as the Salvation Army of Gospel Singing because of the brass instruments that were used during their concerts and church services.
The Foundation is now assembling Beta Tapes and DVDs of different genres to incorporate within the program. There will be a minimal amount of talk and the talk that does happen will emphasis the different ministries of involvement and encouragement within the Body of Christ. i.e. salvation, bible study, hospital and nursing home visitation, retiree involvement, breast cancer and disease awareness, blood drives, youth ministries, Native American concerns, etc. It will also be a vehicle to mature the recipients of their scholarship programs.
Guest appearances will be handpicked to emphasis the different ministries and styles of church music and will encourage listeners to involve themselves in a local church body. The central theme of the program will always be Christ centered and eternal value is of up most importance.
The Foundation does not have all the answers and are sponges of constructive input. They are now assembling a strong advisory board to keep the program on track.
