Group Returns to Studio for Follow-Up to Critically Acclaimed Anything But Ordinary…Everything But Typical

BLADENBORO, North Carolina – The Dove Brothers Quartet, one of Southern Gospel’s most awarded quartets, wish to say “Thank You” to all of the group’s fans, friends, and industry professionals. Founding member of the Dove Brothers Quartet, Eric Dove recently returned to the road after a brief hiatus this past year, and the group has seen support from everyone every step of the way.

“The fans have really shown how glad they are that Eric is back on the road with the Dove Brothers,” mentioned McCray Dove, lead singer and owner of the Dove Brothers Quartet. “Folks have come five to six hours away just to see Eric. The Dove Brothers would like to thank our fans and friends for the love they show us night after night and all the prayers that go up for our group. We could not make it without them.”

Eric returned to the Dove Brothers this past April. Friend of the Dove Brothers Quartet, Lance Jeffrey had been filling in for Dove during his time off the road, and it earned Jeffrey a Top 10 nomination for Horizon Individual in the 2006 Singing News Fan Awards.

“Our fans not only supported Eric, but they really opened their arms and accepted Lance like he had been with the Dove Brothers for years,” mentioned McCray. “We have the best fans in the whole wide world, and we appreciate their support during this time. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts.”

Lance will be returning to school this fall to finish up his degree in Music.

In addition, the Dove Brothers Quartet will be returning to the studio to record two brand new projects, the group’s first since the release of their critically acclaimed release, Anything But Ordinary…Everything But Typical.

The first recording, scheduled to be recorded in early June, will feature concert favorites from the group such as “The Potter’s Clay,” “Look for Me at the Feet of Jesus,” “Oh What a Savior” and many more. The second album will be their new studio release from Crossroads Music’s Sonlite Records. The group is currently selecting songs for the new album to be recorded this coming July.

Dove Brothers Quartet’s last single, “Anything But Ordinary, Everything But Typical,” made its mark on Southern Gospel radio all across the country, including ranking in the Top 10 of the Singing News Top 80 – a first for the Dove Brothers Quartet since 2000’s “Get Away Jordan”. The group’s current single is “Just Imagine That.”

I hope they put "Walk That Lonesome Road" on their classics CD.

Well, I'd love to see them do "We Shall See Jesus"...McCray would do that song so good. Probably the only one who can do t as good as Glen Payne

The thought that they could do that song never crossed my mind. I'd love to hear them do that one, too. (By the way, I think Gerald Wolfe might also do the song justice.)
