NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Allen Smith of SGN Scoops Magazine, home of the Diamond Awards, is proud to announce that Old Paths have been confirmed as a featured performer for the 2006 Diamond Awards.
Old Paths is a full-time Southern Gospel music ministry based just outside of Atlanta in Oxford, Georgia. From the pure high sound of Jeff’s tenor voice, the rich, strong lead voice of Tim, and the joyful and heartfelt baritone voice of Doug, God has uniquely woven these three men together for the sole purpose of encouraging, enriching and enlightening the hearts and lives of those who have been and will be touched by their ministry. From the beginning, Old Paths has been a successful trio. However, Brandon Barry from Chattanooga, Tennessee has joined the group singing bass. He is an incredible talent that can hit all those real low notes. Brandon also has a heart for God, and he has a true passion for singing southern gospel music. This official makes Old Paths a quartet.
Although their ministry is music, they are not limited to just singing. Doug is a preacher, bringing the lost to Christ through his powerful testimony. Tim is a student of the word, having attended Tennessee Temple University. Jeff is an expressive story teller in song who attended Crown College. It’s obvious to anyone who hears these men that their main focus is seeing souls saved. They are not just southern gospel singers, but they are singing the gospel. The group has been successful with their music to radio, with their first single release, “The Fire Still Burns”, climbing the Singing News music charts to # 24. Their newest release, “I’ve Missed Out”, is currently at # 37.
Performing along with Old Paths during the awards program will be Brian Free & Assurance, Ann Downing, the Browns, the Hinsons, Big Mo, the Goldens, Lori (daughter of Anthony Burger), and the Wills. More performers will be announced at a later date.
