Crystal River performed live at Hills Alive Christian Festival in Rapid City, South Dakota. They performed with several CCM artists such as: Third Day, Newsboys, Mark Shultz, Natalie Grant and many others. There were over 30,000 people who attended the weekend event this year. “We were so honored to be invited to Hills Alive. We didn’t know how the crowd would respond to Southern Gospel, but they absolutely loved it! We didn’t change anything in our program. What was so refreshing is that so many young people were buying our music and telling us how much they enjoyed our ministry. We didn’t have a CD left in our racks when we were done” states Zack McGill of Crystal River

Mark Pluimer, General Manager of Radio Stations KSLT-FM, KLMP-FM and The Point, sponsors of the event said, "The music at Hills Alive over the years has run from light Adult Contemporary to Hard Rock. In 21 years, we have never had a Southern Gospel Group perform. We wanted to give it a try this year to test the response. The audience warmed up to Crystal River right away - they were thoroughly entertaining! Crystal River has helped to open the door to Southern Gospel Music on the main stage at Hills Alive!"
