MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Sunday Edition, one of Nashville’s favorite groups, is proud to announce the release of the group’s anticipated new recording, Absolutely Free.

Absolutely Free, which released on September 12, 2006 at the National Quartet Convention, was produced by Donna Beauvais (of Hope’s Call) and engineered and mixed by award-winning engineer Steve Allen.

Absolutely Free features songs written by group members Amy Marie Unthank and Chris D. Unthank, as well as Rebecca J. Peck, Paula Stefanovich, Daryl Williams, and more.

“We are so excited to finally have this new recording available for everyone to hear. We have been anticipating the release of this album for several months and to finally have it in our hands is very exciting,” mentioned Deon Unthank of Sunday Edition.

Producer Donna Beauvais said, “This is easily the finest recording that Sunday Edition has made to date. They are very talented people, and this recording really shows off those talents. Every time I listen to the CD I get blessed even more! Absolutely Free is an album that Sunday Edition can be extremely proud of.”

Other industry leaders and critics have also weighed in on the recording.

“I received a special pre-release from Sunday Edition,” mentioned Jerry Martin of the Dove Brothers Quartet. “All I can say is AWESOME! I have only heard a few sound clips on their website, and it was good but their new recording is so good! It has a variety of songs on it that everyone would like. I highly recommend getting their latest recording. They all are very good vocalist and the harmony is outstanding! They have quickly become one of my favs! Chris, Amy, Deon, you did an awesome job and this is one recording that I will keep listening to over and over!”

Chuck Peters of SGShowPrep and Southern Gospel Reporter said, “I put the Sunday Edition CD in the player hoping for two or three great songs. I got ELEVEN!"

The first single from the new album was recently shipped to Southern Gospel radio all across the country through Rhonda Thompson Promotions. The song, titled “Call On Jesus”, was written by Rebecca J. Peck.

About Sunday Edition
Sunday Edition was formed back in the early 70’s as an all-male quartet. Now, 30 years later, the group has reformed as the family trio consisting of Deon Unthank, Amy Marie Unthank, and Chris Unthank. The group has a rich sound with a wide variety of influences which range from traditional southern to country and progressive southern to black gospel.
