NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Diamond Award winning trio HisSong will be traveling to Michigan this weekend for the very first time since the formation of the group almost five years ago. In addition to performing in Michigan for the first time, they will be performing at two of the largest Church of God churches in Michigan and the nation.

HisSong performed at a three-day campmeeting in Mobile, Alabama earlier this year. HisSong was the special musical guest, and Pastor Luke from Monroe, Michigan was giving the message that evening. After the first night, HisSong was invited to perform at Pastor Luke’s home church at the earliest date possible. Pastor Luke called another Church of God in Michigan to recommend HisSong for Sunday morning, and they immediately took it.

Sunday morning HisSong will be Canton, Michigan ministering at a church that has more than 3,000 members. Sunday evening, HisSong will be at Pastor Luke's Church in Monroe, Michigan with more than 4,500 members.

This will be the first time for a Southern Gospel group to perform at either of these two churches. Contemporary artists such as Casting Crowns, Michael W. Smith and others have performed at the church on Sunday evenings just this past year.

Group owner/manager Dennis Humphries says, “We are very excited to be performing in Michigan and these two large churches for the very first time as HisSong. God has opened many doors for us, and all we have to do is just walk through them. We enjoy performing at all kinds of churches and venues. We can't forget about the small churches, medium size churches and the large churches. Wherever God leads us is where we want to go. I can also say, we have church wherever we are – it doesn’t matter what size the church is.”

Dennis continued, “I just pray that lives will be changed and hearts will be blessed Sunday. Please pray for us as we travel to Michigan, and pray for every concert that we travel too that we will continue to see the lost saved and lives changed.”

HisSong's "It Won't Be A Celebration" has been on the Singing News Top 40 chart for the past 4 months. A Brand new single was just released to radio titled "First Things First." The song is already being played at the Solid Gospel Radio Network and many other radio stations nationwide.
