COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.— Daywind Recording artists Hope’s Call and Mercy’s Mark were a part of the Focus on the Family chapel service in Colorado Springs
on Friday, October 20, 2006. They performed for the Focus on the Family staff, including Dr. James C. Dobson, Founder and Chairman of the Board; his wife, Shirley, Chairman of the National Day of Prayer Task Force; Jim Daly, President and Chief Executive Officer; and a group of National Day of Prayer Task Force Coordinators from around the country.
H.B. London, Jr., Vice President of Church and Clergy, stated, “Our chapel service was packed to the rafters, and we enjoyed immensely the music of a dynamic duo: Hope’s Call and Mercy’s Mark. The ‘old time revival’ themed service received glowing reports, and there was a standing ovation after each group’s musical message. It was a blessed event!”
In 1977, Dr. Dobson began Focus on the Family in response to his increasing concern for the American family. Beginning in Arcadia, Calif., in a two-room suite, Focus on the Family has since grown to more than 74 different outreaches and nearly 1,300 employees.
The latest release by Mercy’s Mark, Something’s Happening, can be found in stores nationwide. Hope’s Call will release their first Daywind project, Live To Love, January 23, 2007.
Daywind Records is based in Hendersonville, TN, and is distributed worldwide through New Day Christian Distribution and Word Entertainment/WEA. Daywind is also home to artists such as Greater Vision, Legacy Five and the Perrys, among others.
