SPRINGFIELD, Missouri – Andy Fauth recently resigned for popular Mid-West Southern Gospel trio The Cerces. Andy is resigning due to his wife’s recent illness. His wife, Sylvia, had been traveling every date with the group, but is now struggling with an illness that has made traveling with a Gospel group near impossible.
Sylvia is in considerable pain and the doctors have told the Fauths that they can expect the condition to be chronic. Sylvia was recently hospitalized for four days. She is unable to work at this time.
Cliff Cerce said, “This is a very unfortunate situation. However, we look to the Great Physician to bring healing to Sylvia, but Andy has asked that he be released from his responsibilities with The Cerces – as he feels he should stay in town by her side and no longer travel on the road.”
Andy is expected to do some ministering locally, but he is not planning to travel any long distances in order to be at home with Sylvia and help her through this difficult time.
Temporarily replacing Fauth is Terry Yatham. Yatham sang with the group three years ago, and he will appear with the Cerces until a permanent replacement can be found.
Prayers are appreciated that the Lord will bring healing to Sylvia, and that the Lord will guide The Cerces as they select a suitable replacement for Andy.
The Cerces recently completed the group’s first ever West Coast tour. The Cerces performed dates that stretched from Orange County to the Redding, California area. In addition to performing dates all across the state of California, the Cerces were also blessed to perform in locations starting in Oklahoma to their first date in California.
The Cerces are already rapidly filling their schedule for 2007, which will include two West Coast tours due to the success of this last tour.
