Arden-NC: The McKameys were recently in Crossroads studios recording songs for their upcoming release Telling the Story due out in March on the Horizon Records label. They caught up with Crossroads record producer Jeff Collins, label chief Mickey Gamble and radio promoter Jim Stover who presented the group with commemorative plaques to honor their charting successes of 2006. The group had two number one singles last year including their Fresh Manna project’s I Am Home which topped the Singing News chart two months in a row, and I Will Trust You Lord which hit its peak last summer. The McKameys are currently at number two in the Singing News Top 80 with their single Altogether Lovely from The Old Path.
“The best part of my job is the wonderful people I work with and for, and they just don’t come any finer than Peg, Ruben, Carol and Connie,” stated Jim Stover. “The McKameys music touches the heart at the deepest level. Their songs are melodic, artfully arranged, and every one of them reminds me of an oyster—inside you’ll always find a pearl of a message! That’s why the hits keep coming for this dedicated and gifted family.”
Look for The McKameys new release Telling the Story in stores at the end of March.
