Group Releases Follow-Up Single to Top 40 Hit “Arise My Love”
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame inductees The Imperials are pleased to announce the availability the group’s latest, self-titled release on both iTunes and Rhapsody.
“We are excited to finally have our music available on such key digital music outlets like iTunes and Rhapsody,” mentioned Jeremie Hudson of The Imperials. “We recognize that digital music is the future of the recording industry, and we’re happy to finally see The Imperials available through these outlets.”
The Imperials was released nationally to Christian retail this past April through Lamon Records. The Imperials is the first national release from the group in over 10 years and features an eclectic mix of styles – covering everything from pop and adult contemporary to Southern Gospel and inspirational styles.
The album scored the group their first Southern Gospel top 40 hit in over 10 years with the single “Arise My Love.” The song peaked at #29 on the SoGospelNews.com Top 40 Weekly Chart and also charted on the Singing News Top 80 and Christian Voice Magazine Top 100. The song also earned the group a nomination for Progressive Southern Song of the Year at the 2007 SGN Music Awards.
The group recently released “All That Matters to the Lord” to Southern Gospel radio as the follow-up to “Arise My Love.” The song was shipped to radio on the Lamon Radio Hits #14 compilation disc, cut #1. In addition, the song is also being promoted to radio by Theresa Smith Dillard’s TS Promotions.
The Imperials will be headed to the studio later this year to record an album of Imperials classics. More information on that recording will be available at a later date.
