Positive Alternative Radio (PAR) announced that Brian Sanders has assumed the role of General Manager of Joy FM in North Carolina. Sanders currently serves as a Vice President with Positive Radio Group, (PRG) an affiliated company. While retaining his duties with PRG, Sanders will oversee this Southern Gospel radio powerhouse in North Carolina.

Sanders said, “This is a dream come true. I’m thankful for the team God has given me at PRG, so I can devote quality time to Joy FM. Joy FM is considered by many to be the standard for Southern Gospel radio. Our goal now is to be the standard of great radio…period. I can’t tell you how excited I am about this opportunity. This is going to be an incredible ride!”

Executive Vice President for PAR, Barry Armstrong stated, “This is a new day for Joy FM. Brian is a great strong leader with a passion for the format. He loves the music, the industry and its people. Joy FM has a proud past, and a great future!”

Sanders’ resume includes working with Southern Gospel and Contemporary Christian radio in New Orleans and Atlanta. He has also been a Southern Gospel concert promoter, and is a former columnist for the Singing News.
