[PRESS RELEASE] PIKEVILLE, KY - Josh Akers one of the founding members of Atoned, announced today his departure from the trio. Akers states he left the road in August to pursue other interests, but is planning on returning to the southern gospel scene in the near future.

When asked to discuss his plans, Akers stated that his ministry in southern gospel music is just beginning. At this time no formal announcements have been made concerning Josh's return to the music scene.

Akers is currently Director of Marketing for Angie Hoskins Promotions, and Administrative Director for Family Health Services, Inc. of Paintsville, KY.
