Woody Wright and Stephen Hill concluded their fifth annual Spirit of Christmas Tour in West Virginia on Dec. 20. This year the duo played to several packed houses in seven states. "We were blown away with the crowds this year. The Rantoul, Illinois concert and the Roanoke, Virginia show were the biggest ones, but we had great attendance just about everywhere this year. With no promoter, record label or booking agents to help, we feel extremely blessed to do well over a dozen concerts each year. Our presentation is a little different, so I guess that is what helps encourage folks to bring us back year after year."
The pair performed classic Christmas favorites as well as their original songs that have been featured on the Gaither Homecoming Christmas videos through the years. Stephen Hill wrote "Five Little Fingers" and "Look Who Just Checked In" - which is also included on the latest Gold City release. Woody's "Come and See What's Happening In The Barn" has become a Christmas favorite, and is featured in many Christmas choral collections.
The talented singer/songwriters work together in other months as well, and will play regular concerts this year in Indiana, Tennessee, Pennsylvania and overseas in Holland this summer.
